Founded in 1921, Aberdare Golf Club is a beautiful parkland golf course overlooking the Cynon Valley. Situated just 30 minutes North of Cardiff and on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, this is a course not to be missed from your golfing travels. It offers high levels of golfing enjoyment with an exceptionally manicured course and a warm welcome to both members and visitors alike.
Aberdare has a proud golfing pedigree and produced Ryder Cup Captain, Dai Rees, whose putter remains on display above the bar and is the subject of the annual 'Dai Rees Putter' competition. Mr Rees' father was the Club Professional from 1938 to 1953 and his mother the stewardess of the club. More recently, the clubs renowned junior section has produced 4 professionals in recent years and a number of juniors who have gone on to take golf scholarships in the USA and represented their country.
The Club prides itself on giving visitors a warm welcome and members are encouraged to approach and welcome visitors to the area. The Club Professional, Darran Clark is on hand to ensure your golfing requirements are met.
